OFFICE MEMORANDUM Subject:- Canteen Allowance to Non- Statutory Departmental canteen employees consequent upon the recommendations of the VIIth Central Pay Commission-regarding.

The undersigned is directed to refer to the subject mentioned above and to state that the Government’s Decision, on the recommendations of the Seventh Central Pay Commission relating to Canteen Staff in ‘Other Allowances’ in para 8.17.8 of Chapter 8.17 of its report, has been notified vide Ministry of Finance Resolution No. 11-1/2016-1C dated 06.07.2017 has been considered in consultation with Department of Expenditure, Ministry of Finance and it has been decided to revise the Canteen Allowance by a factor of 1.5 admissible to certain categories of canteen employees as mentioned below at the following rates :-

A = S.NO.
B = DESIGNATION
C = CANTEEN CATEGORIES AS BEING FOR TYPE ‘A’, ‘B’, ‘C’, ‘D’, ‘2A’ AND ‘3A’ (AMOUNT OF CANTEEN ALLOWANCE PER MONTH)
D = CANTEEN CATEGORIES AS BEING FOR TYPE ‘4A’ AND ABOVE (AMOUNT OF CANTEEN ALLOWANCE PER MONTH)

2. The revised Canteen Allowance will be admissible w.e.f. 1st July, 2017. The rates shall further increase by 25 percent each time Dearness Allowance increases by 50 percent.

3. This issues with the concurrence of Ministry of Finance, Deptt. Of Exp. I.D. No. A-27023/2(1)2018-E.II B(7th CPC) dated 10.5.2019.

Subject: Revision of allowances of teachers, equivalent academic staff, Registrars, Finance Officers and Controller of Examination in Universities and colleges as per recommendations of 7th CPC – reg.

Sir,
In continuation of this Ministry’s letter No.1-7/2015-U.II(1) dated 02.11.2017 and letter No.1-7/2015-U.II(2) dated 02.11.2017, it is informed that that the Government of India have decided, in consultation with the Ministry of Finance (Department of Expenditure), to revise the rate of allowances of teachers, equivalent academic staff, Registrars, Finance Officers and Controller of Examinations in Central Universities and colleges there under and Centrally funded Deemed to be Universities on the basis of recommendations of the 7th Central Pay Commission, with immediate effect.

2. It has been decided that the rates of the allowances admissible during the 6th CPC shall be revised in accordance with the provisions of the Department of Expenditure’s OM No.1/1/2016-E-lII(A) dated 26th July, 2017, read with Department of Expenditure’s Resolution dated 06.07.2017 and the Government orders issued in the matter, for teachers, equivalent academic staff, Registrars, Finance Officers and Controller of Examinations in Central Universities and colleges there under and Centrally funded Deemed to be Universities.

3. It is also informed that the rate of Special Allowances for the post of Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor and College Principals has been revised by a factor of 2.25 and the revised Special Allowances are as follows:

The State Government of Maharashtra decided to implement the recommendations of 7th Pay Commission to its employees and Pensioners.
After taking the decision in the Cabinet Committee Meeting chaired by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, the Finance Minister of the Maharashtra State Mungantiwar announced the implementation will benefit as many as 20.50 lakh government employees.

The permanent State Government Employees and Teachers will get the pay hike benefit and also get arrears form the retrospective date from 1.1.2016. The Pay Commission Arrears will be issued in Five Installments. The arrears amount will be credited to the GPF account of the employees.

And State Government Pensioners also get the impact of the pay commission implementation with effect from 1.1.2016. Pensioners monthly pension also to hike after taking this decision.

The minimum pay may be fixed as Rs.15000 for Group D employees and Rs.18000 for Group C employees.
