OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Sub: Change of date of holiday on account of Id-ul-Fitr during 2016 for all Central Government administrative offices located at Delhi / New Delhi.

As per list of holidays circulated vide this Ministry’s 0.M.No.12/7/2015-JCA-2 dated the 11th June, 2015, the holiday on account of Id-ul-Fitr falls on Wednesday the 6th July, 2016. It has been brought to notice of this Ministry that in Delhi Id-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on 7th July, 2016. Accordingly, it has been decided to shift the Id-ul-Fitr holiday to 7th July, 2016 in place of 6th July, 2016 as notified earlier, for all Central Government administrative offices at Delhi / New Delhi.

2. For Offices outside Delhi / New Delhi the Employees Coordination Committee or Head of Offices (Where such committees are not functioning) can decide the date depending upon the decision of the concerned State Government.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

subject: Declaration or Holiday on 14th April, 2016 – Birthday of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar.

It has been decided to declare Thursday, the 14th April 2016, as a closed Holiday on account of the birthday of Dt.B.R.Ambedkar, for all Central Government Offices including Industrial Establishments throughout India.

2. The above holiday is also being notified in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (26 of 1881).

3. All Ministries/Departments of Government of India may bring the above decision to the notice of all concerned.

OFFICE MEMORANDUM

Subject: Early Closure of Offices in connection with Republic Day Parade and Beating Retreat Ceremony during 2016.

In connection with arrangements for the Republic Day Parade and Beating Retreat Ceremony, 2016, it has been decided that the Government offices located in the buildings indicated in Annexure-A would be closed on 23.1.2016 ( Saturday) at 1300 hours and at 13:00 hours on 25th January, 2016 (Monday). Buildings indicated in Annexure-B would be closed for at Home function on 26.1.2016 till 1930 hours. Buildings indicated in Annexure-C would be closed on 29.1.2016 at 12:00 Noon and Buildings indicated in Annexure —D would be closed on 28.1.2016 at 1600 hours till 1930 hours for Beating Retreat Ceremony.
